NEW ELDERLY HOUSE

The project area for the new elderly house is located on the outskirts of the village, between the urban and the wide rural area of Gundelsheim. The building, therefore, constitutes a hinge between  town and country sides, redefining the border of both. On the northern side a large square connects the green area with the urban fabric, while on the south a sinuous pedestrian cycle path connects the opposite borders of the lot.

Inside, the building is organised around a series of courtyards, open towards the green and the nature, thus fostering meetings between its users and strengthening the  connection with the surrounding.
